DOUGLAS Ross should be on his last legs as leader of the Scottish Tories after ditching previous support for UK party plans to slash the top rate of income tax for high earners.
That's the verdict of SNP MP and economy spokeswoman Alison Thewliss following Ross's latest U-turn to toe the line with his bosses at Westminster.
Thewliss said: "It's no wonder Tory MSPs are plotting to have him removed as Scottish Tory leader. It's completely inept.
One of his major Holyrood rivals, Labour's Jackie Baillie, branded him "flip-flop" and said his "entire party" was a bigger problem than their unpopular policy plans.
