AN eight-year-old girl has been removed from class after she was allegedly subject to vile racist slurs.
May McWilliams claims she is fighting to get Rio Brown into a different school after her granddaughter was called "monkey girl" and "chocolate girl" by youngsters.
Rio, who lives with her gran after her mum died in 2019, also told May she was slapped and kicked by other children at Irvine's Elderbank Primary.
It led to May removing Rio from her P3 class after staff failed to take action, she claimed.
May said: "When the bullying first started, I did try to hold back and see if we could weather the storm.
"Rio's grandad Robert had just died and she had been helping me nurse him at home. She'd go in every day and give him a kiss or a cuddle.
