WINDS of up to 80mph are expected to hit Scotland this week, sparking warnings of danger on the roads and power cuts.
A yellow weather warning for wind is in place for the whole of the country and parts of northern England from 8pm tomorrow and 9am on Wednesday.
Meteorologists said the extreme weather is caused by a deep area of low pressure passing to the north of Scotland.
