Port's radar station takes star role in new TV series

A top TV presenter was spotted filming at an iconic Fylde coast landmark.

- by Aimee Seddon

Sarah Beeny, who is best known for presenting the shows Property Ladder (2001-2009), Streets Ahead (2005-2006) and Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country (2020-present), was filming in Fleetwood on Tuesday.

The broadcaster and entrepreneur took to Facebook yesterday evening to share a photo of herself outside Fleetwood Radar Station.

In the image, Sarah looks windswept as a cameraman films her delivering a piece to camera in front of the Grade II listed building, which has long fascinated local history enthusiasts for its striking mid-century design and coastal location.

Alongside the photo, Sarah wrote: “#fleetwood was a joy today!! What a build ing.....!?! X”

Sarah's Facebook post gives no clue as to why she was filming outside the Fleetwood Radar Station.
