Asylum seeker in murder trial 'older than he claimed'

Deng Chol Majek was caught on CCTV staring at Rhiannon Skye Whyte at the Park Inn hotel in Walsall

Deng Chol Majek plunged a screwdriver 'over and over again' into Rhiannon Skye Whyte’s head and body after ‘tracking’ her as she made her way home, prosecutors say.

He was said to be seen dancing and laughing in the aftermath of the ‘frenzied’ killing, ‘clearly excited about what he had done’ to the mum at Bescot Stadium railway station.

Jurors at Wolverhampton Crown Court have heard how Majek was living at the male-only Park Inn hotel, in Walsall, which was housing asylum seekers at the time.
