JADE GILLETT & BRENT GOLD

Jade: I grew up in Hertfordshire in the UK, then had stints in Spain, Ibiza and London before I came to Australia. I have always had an interest in fashion, music, art and design and have always expressed myself through these things. I never thought this would be where I am, and I have to pinch myself that we have created something so amazing in such a short amount of time purely just from our individual passions.

J: Rainbow Studios is something Goldie and I started talking about during lockdown. We wanted a space to showcase two jewellery brands, Henson & Gold – by Goldie and his friend Andy Henson – and Henson, Andy’s eponymous collection. It began as a dedicated place for jewellery consultations and quickly evolved into a gallery and retail store where we showcase art and homewares by our favourite creatives.

Goldie: I’m a bit of a dreamer, so this business has led to many ideas turning into reality all at once! I’m juggling many different projects while running my jewellery brand, building and, of course, growing Rainbow Studios. The biggest challenge is finding enough time to give each creative project the focus it deserves.

J: Once we opened the doors to Rainbow Studios, we very quickly realised that it would make a wonderful gallery and event space. Our first exhibition showcased the work of two of our favourite local artists, Ash Holmes and Jamie Priesz, and we now host art exhibitions and events monthly.
