El presente, pasado y futuro de 102 años de historia de la firma italiana Gucci se puede experimentar en una fascinante exhibición llamada Gucci Cosmos en Shanghái, China. Se trata de una retrospectiva de los diseños que han definido una era desde 1921 –con Guccio Gucci y sus hijos Aldo y Rodolfo– hasta nuestros días, pasando por la imaginación y visión de creativos al mando de la marca, como Tom Ford, Frida Giannini y Alessandro Michele.
La curadora de la exhibición es la teórica y crítica de moda italiana Maria Luisa Frisa, quien afirma que “este proyecto fue una oportunidad extraordinaria para mí de atravesar el universo de Gucci una vez más y contar su historia a través de la lente siempre cambiante de la ropa, los objetos, los elementos, las personas y los contextos que han hecho de la marca una pionera icónica dentro de la moda y la cultura visual colectiva durante más de un siglo. La exposición Gucci Cosmos es una experiencia inmersiva en la cual la historia de los orígenes de la marca y su trayectoria se ponen a prueba continuamente por la imaginación del futuro”.
