WHAT does it mean to dress for your age these days? A Mrs Grundy might tell you to cover up after 50 and flash no more than a slip of skin here and there.
Fortunately, Nicole Kidman is paying these priggish prudes no mind and has been flashing plenty of porcelain skin on the red carpet.
The 56-year-old actress recently hit the spotlight at the premiere of her new Amazon Prime series, Expats, in a striking backless black Atelier Versace gown. The dress drew comparisons to one she’d worn some 20 years ago at the annual American Cinematheque tribute held in her honour.
The dress created big buzz online. Smoking hot, came the verdict.
Not that Nicole is looking for anyone’s approval. A close friend says the Oscar winner has never felt better about herself.
“Nicole feels sexier than ever being over 50 and showing skin – and her true fans applaud her for it.
“She is redefining the definition of what beauty is and showing that you don’t have to be 20 to be sexy. Nicole knows who she is and she knows that she is healthy, fit and happy.”
Clearly the actress is loving her body. She posed for a series of scintillating lingerie shots for the February issue of Vogue Australia, one of them showing her in a sexy lace corset paired with black suspenders.
She’s “completely unapologetic” over her sexy wardrobe choices, the pal adds. Last year Nicole shared her approach to decision-making and how she doesn’t let judgement influence her choices.
