WITH THE ALL-NEW Grand Vitara, Maruti Suzuki seem to have waited, watched, and learned. Now they've stormed into the mid-SUV W arena with a stunning new breed of SUV. The Grand Vitara name has been resurrected for the new ultra-modern, bold and capable SUVs created to stand out and bring the ability and grit to back its superior SUV image. The bold stance is accentuated by several design elements and special styling highlights that set it a class apart from the crowd.
A Class Apart
The Grand Vitara seems to have it all! Style, capability, space, equipment, practicality, flexibility and a premium look and feel. The Grand Vitara comes guns blazing. Built on the global C-platform it has a wheelbase of 2,600 millimetres and measures 4.345 mm long from nose to tail. It's 1,795 mm wide and 1,645 mm tall, and, more importantly, it also has over 200 mm of ground clearance. That goes well with its bold and eye-catching styling, with a dominant grille and chrome surround, piercing LED light arrays integrated with daytime lights and turn indicators, projector headlamps below, and a sweeping bar LED tail-light cluster and "Grand Vitara" badging in chrome. The wheels are equally premium 17-inch dual-tone alloys and with all four disc brakes.
The all-new Grand Vitara gets a modern interior with a swank two-tone theme in the cabin. The windows are large and light in the cabin is aplenty, helped by the huge folding dual-pane sunroof. The new SmartPlay Pro+ package adds some big screens with a huge centre touchscreen providing easy access to all functions, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is wireless charging as well. The steering wheel looks sharp, offers great feel and feedback, and also gets a host of controls. The climate control and ventilated front seats make all journeys, short and long, comfortable.
