Chris Tarrant has marked his 50th anniversary in television by writing a book. The popular broadcaster, whose TV presenting credits include Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and, most recently, Chris Tarrant: Extreme Railways, speaking from the home he shares in Berkshire with his partner Jane, says, 'It had been in my he for a while to write this book, but because of COVID we all found ourselves with lots of time on our hands. I thought, "I just want to write about all the silly bits, and the wonderfully funny people I've met."
'I've had a great life. I really enjoyed it all. I had a good time. [Sir Terry] Wogan, one of my great heroes and a really nice, kind man, always used to say, "I've never done a day's work in my life since I left the bank in Dublin." And I kind of know what he meant,' says Chris, who also hosted his own show on Capital Radio for many years.
