Rajini Says Will Never Enter Politics, Dissolves Makkal Mandram

ACTOR Rajinikanth on Monday said he would never ever enter politics and that the Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM), which had been formed to do spadework for his political foray, would be dissolved. It would exist as a fans association -- Rajinikanth Rasigar Narpani Mandram, he added.

“Owing to various reasons, our wish to launch a political party did not fructify. Also, I don’t have any intention to enter politics in future. As such, the RMM will be dissolved; it will continue to function as Rajinikanth Rasigar NarpaniMandram,” Rajinikanth said in a statement hereafter holding discussions with the district secretaries of the RMM.
