A large quantity of medical waste which had been dumped in an open ground at Nazarathpet village, near Poonamallee, has still not been cleared, even after a month. After Express reported the matter in November, Tamil Nadu Drug Control Department and Poonamallee municipality cleared the dump partly. On Friday, a large quantity of burnt tonic bottles were still there at the spot. The seal on tablets and tonic bottles and syringes were unbroken while some were burnt completely.
