In a tweet in Hindi on Thursday, Priyanka posted: “I met some girl students, they said they needed smartphones to study and for security. I am happy that with the consent of the manifesto committee, the Congress today took a decision to give smartphones to girls who pass intermediate and electric scooty to graduate girls.”
This is the second political promise that Priyanka has made this week. On Tuesday, she announced that the Congress would give 40 per cent of the party tickets to women candidates in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.
