The message no golfer wants to hear ‘carry only'

IT was, for some, the dreaded “carry only” message from the Green keepers on Monday as rain continued to restrict our golfing pleasures.

Slightly better than last Monday when the course was closed but, as it turned out, not as good as Tuesday when trollies were allowed again, luck of the draw I suppose.

Despite this most turned up, heard what was planned for the day and wished they’d stayed at home! The Captain obviously forgot how popular the worst score format was last time he played it, so I’m sure he appreciated the many reminders he got from the members this time around, just in case he intends to try it again.
