MUM HITS OUT AT CAR PARK FIRM’S LETTER

I bought parking ticket but got fined

A PLYMOUTH mum has slammed a parking company which operates a city centre site after she received a fine, despite having purchased a ticket for her parking.

Katrina Weeks was picking her daughter up from Holy Cross Primary School on September 29. Having arrived early, she chose to park in Ebrington Street car park, which is operated by Enterprise Parking.

The mum said she got a letter in the post telling her that she had received a fine for her parking session - which left her baffled, because she knew she had definitely paid.

She had paid for her parking ticket in cash, meaning she had no proof of her purchase at all, besides her ticket, which she couldn’t find. Katrina a single mother who claims Universal Credit, said that she was worried about paying a potentially £100 fine, as she knew she wouldn’t be able to afford that kind of payment, especially so close to Christmas.
