Waiting times for Accident and Emergency services have been around the seven-hour mark consistently, while queues of ambulances have been spotted outside the Plymouth hospital.

Health chiefs have said that the pattern of being incredibly busy this winter is being replicated across the country, and that patient safety remains the focus, but it is important that people help them by going to the right place for treatment if required.
