A look back at Kishori Pednekar's journey as she completes two years in office
A mayor as resilient as her city

From the mills of Worli, being a nurse to becoming a BMC corporator in 2002 and now the mayor, Kishori Pednekar, one of the most tenacious women out there, completed two years as mayor on November 22.

During her second year as a mayor, Pednekar has not only worked on resolving various civic issues of the maximum city, but also focussed on implementing various covid related work.

A former nurse herself, Pednekar has been very active even during the pandemic. She was regularly visiting hospitals, hotspots to encourage BMC staff. In April, she even visited BYL Nair Hospital in nurse uniform and TN Medical College, interacted with nursing students helping to manage Covid patients.
