A MAN appeared in court yesterday charged with the murder of mum-of-two Jennie Poole.
Gavin Murphy, from Coultry Drive in Ballymun, North Dublin, is accused of killing the 24-year-old at her home on Saturday.
Dressed in a blue hoody, black tracksuit bottoms and grey runners, he sat silently during the hearing.
Detective Sergeant Damien Mangan gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution. He said that at 11.17 pm on Saturday night, Murphy was arrested.
He was charged with murder at 12.04 am on Sunday. Murphy, 29, did not respond.
