CLINTON MORRISON has hailed football’s global stars for highlighting the ‘Black Lives Matter’ campaign.
The former Ireland striker yesterday branded the racial tension across America a ‘disgrace’.
And he insists he would have ‘put a message out there for the whole world to see’ if he was still playing.
Morrison (right) was angered and upset by the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis last week.
An unarmed black man, Floyd died while being restrained by a white police officer who pressed his knee onto Floyd’s neck for several minutes.
Widespread unrest is continuing across America in the wake of the shocking incident, sparking a worldwide reaction.
Borussia Dortmund and England star Jadon Sancho was booked at the weekend for revealing a T-shirt that read “Justice for George Floyd”.
