ALLAN RUSSELL has helped Stephen Glass to bring a cutting edge back to Aberdeen.
Now he is looking for his team to show their finishing touch by beating Hibs to the third spot.
The England striking coach was the man Glass turned to as his assistant when he was in line for the top job at Pittodrie.
Glass and Russell inherited a squad that had suffered a chronic lack of goals. The pair have got off to an unbeaten league start and have cut Hibs’ advantage to three points – with the Easter Road side next up in the Granite City.
If Aberdeen wins it could set up a frantic final day with the Dons at Rangers and Hibs taking on Celtic. Russell said: “We’ve given ourselves a chance of third.
“They are an ambitious group, hard-working and intelligent. They want to learn and be successful.
