THE daughter of murdered Scots barmaid Ruth Brown has told how she found her mum’s body – after the killer texted her.
Wayne Morris, 47, was yesterday sentenced to life at Lewes Crown Court with a minimum of 17 years for the brutal slaying of Ruth.
Morris moved in with Ruth, 52, during the first national Covid lockdown after she was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
She told friends and family she was terrified of catching the coronavirus and wanted furloughed bin man Morris to move in to look after her.
But violent thug Morris battered Ruth with a plastic tray, fracturing her skull in two places causing fatal brain injuries.
