EX-CELTIC star John Hartson has given the thumbs up to a cancer recovery plan for Scotland’s NHS – saying sufferers are dying through lack of treatment.
The Welshman, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer which spread to his brain and lungs in 2009, yesterday backed Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar’s call for a national strategy to improve cancer treatment, which has been badly affected by the corona crisis.
After recovering from the deadly disease, Hartson – who played for Celtic between 2001 and 2006 – turned campaigner.
He set up his own foundation, which aims to increase awareness and raise money for those suffering.
