WINTER is over, spring has sprung and now we want to make this the season to be cheerful for all our readers.
To celebrate the meteorological start of spring, which is always March 1, we want you to start photographing the blooms, the blossom and all the beauty of the season.
As you head outdoors on your daily exercise, take a camera or use your phone to snap some pictures that illustrate the best of spring and send them to us.
We will print the best in the paper.
To inspire you, we have selected some lovely shots from the weekend. There’s two-year-old Danny Nichol having a snack as he plays on a carpet of snowdrops at Howick Hall Gardens, near his home in Alnwick, Northumberland.
