Wizard of Aus Field breaks Salford hearts with a dazzling last-gasp try for Warriors

WIZARD of Aus Jai Field produced a sensational last-gasp moment of magic to claw Wigan to victory.

But his amazing length of the field try was heartbreaking for a Salford side who had threatened to pull off a shock win.

Relieved Wigan coach Matt Peet (right) said: “It was a moment of brilliance in the end but it was built on a sustained period of hard work.

“Jai is doing some special and incredible things that are the reason why people come to games and turn on the TV to watch moments like that.” Gutted Salford boss Paul Rowley (far right) said: “It is painful because we want to win and anything other than a win is sickening.

"I am proud but disappointed. We were really good with ball in hand, looked dangerous and troubled Wigan every time we had the ball."
