THE Green Goddess got the nation ready to face the day with her TV aerobics routines in the 1980s...and hopes her sage advice will do the same again.
At 81, Diana Moran believes being older during the pandemic is a strength, not a weakness.
And that with age, comes life experience, wisdom and the tools to tackle the pressures and impact of a pandemic and lockdown.
“Being older, often seen as a weakness in these very strange times, is actually a strength,” she told this week’s Radio Times.
“I have always tried to look after my physical fitness – you may remember me in a green leotard on breakfast television in the 1980s – and I still do, but mental fitness matters as well.
“Older people have immense reservoirs of emotional strength to draw on. If you’ve been around for a bit you know that nothing, be it happiness or sadness, lasts forever. In time, it will pass.”
The former model stressed that mental and physical exercise are vital.
