Brown says those two caretaker games – two draws against Ebbsfleet and Torquay – have acted as a reminder of where he sees his longterm future.
And he says seeing the experienced Taylor in action has furthered his own education more than any coaching course.

“Any time you work with any coach, you’ll pick up training ground ideas,” Brown said. “But to be able to watch someone who has coached at the highest level and was coaching in the England development set-up for years and years.
“I picked up a lot. I am a coach myself but I picked up a lot of new ideas and tried to absorb as much of his knowledge as I possibly could.
