Sarah Graham, 37, lives in Bryanston with her husband Rob, 37, and their three daughters – Sophie, eight; Isla, five; and Emily, who turns two in April.
What is your earliest food memory? My parents run a safari lodge in Zimbabwe and, growing up, I’d often go out into the bush with them and the guests. My mom baked giant loaves of bread in ground ovens – burying cast-iron pots filled with dough under heaps of coal. After hours of baking in the earth, the bread came out steamy and delicious.
Did you have a career plan B? I studied marketing and social studies, so never dreamt this was what I’d be doing. A friend sent me the link to a food blog called Smitten Kitchen, and I loved it so much I decided to start my own. Now I’m on this blog, book, and TV-show train and I’ll never get off. I don’t want to.
