If you’ve ever had dreams of packing up and moving abroad, there are few Southeast Asian centres as vibrant and exciting as Bangkok. While there’s certainly no shortage of luxury living concepts in this bustling metropolis, upcoming Dusit Central Park – slated to open in stages from next year – is an ambitious mixed-use development like no other.
Curiosity piqued? Here’s what to know about this upcoming landmark.
A neighbourhood changer
What distinguishes Dusit Central Park is its ambitious goal to transform its neighbourhood into the new prime core of Bangkok’s CBD. This “placemaking” factor will be achieved by creating new opportunities for local businesses and connecting the districts surrounding Lumpini Park.
The development will also improve the area’s infrastructure by adding a new thoroughfare that will help alleviate congestion in the area – a rather promising development considering Bangkok’s frequent traffic jams. Dusit Central Park will also link directly to Silom BTS station and Sala Daeng MRT station, allowing residents and visitors to commute easily.
Four distinct concepts
As a mixed-use development, Dusit Central Park comprises different elements, from offices to residential accommodation and retail and leisure. Below are the key components.
