Beautiful Objects
Harper's BAZAAR Singapore|July 2023
Deeply rooted in Brazilian culture and traditions, the works by Campana Studio's co-founders, Humberto Campana and his late brother Fernando, have achieved international recognition. Campana, based in São Paulo, are represented by various galleries from New York to London to their home in Brazil, including permanent collections in renowned cultural institutions like New York's MoMa.
Beautiful Objects

Thus, it was to no surprise when Louis Vuitton approached the Campana Brothers to collaborate on The Objets Nomades. This collaboration would inspire the experimental yet functional pieces, The Cocoon and Mirror Bomboca, which Humberto refers as a "comfortable sculpture." We explore what went behind these two pieces with the designer himself.

To you, what is the most characteristic part of a Campana Studios design?

I think praising the craftsmanship, the handmade. Acknowledging the importance and relevance of manual traditions that are vanishing and connecting that to a narrative. Each piece produced by the studio has a soul and tells a story.

What design project are you most proud of and why?
