As we all navigate social distancing, travel restrictions and a nation-wide recession, India Couture Week 2020 took place in September, digitally (for the very first time). 12 leading designers bid farewell to the most quintessential part of fashion— catwalks—for the foreseeable future and welcomed the dawn of fashion films (and reduced carbon footprints). The six-day showcase was, thus, divided between nostalgia for the old normal and a creative prescience for the future.
