The origins of sacred sound can be traced back 40,000 years to the Aboriginal didgeridoo, a resonant instrument used in religious ceremonies. Since then, sound has been employed as a cross-cultural tool of worship and healing—from Egyptian vowel chanting to Tibetan singing bowls—but only recently has the idea gone mainstream.
