Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski stars in the sci-fi action movie The Tomor row War as one of Earth’s last surviving military leaders and a scientist desperately trying to find a way to destroy aliens who’ve invaded and overrun the planet, bringing humanity to the brink of extinction.
FUTURE WAR The movie opens in the year 2022, when the World Cup final is interrupted by time travellers from 2051. They’ve come back in time to enlist soldiers and civilians to help fight the future war.
The story is told from the perspective of soldier-turned-schoolteacher, Dan Forester (Guardians of the Galaxy’s Chris Pratt), who must leave his wife and daughter behind when he’s conscripted to fight.
Yvonne says she loved the script from the moment she read it. “I thought the script was such a page-turner when I first read it,” the 39-year-old says.
