But despite eight years in the industry, she still considers herself, a work in progress. With a different approach to life, Sonam Kapoor is in no hurry to taste stardom. Close to a decade now in the industry, how has your journey been so far?

A decade! It’s going to be eight years this year. You are making it sound longer than it actually is. It’s like telling me that I am a certain age when I am not yet there (laughs). It’s sad. Eight years in the industry have been good, they have been interesting. It has been a journey, you learn stuff, you understand yourself and you evolve, and that is the whole point of being a human being – it’s an evolution. You evolve and that is hopefully for the better, you learn what it is to be a good person, a smart person and not such a good person. It’s just a learning curve and it’s good.

Your next is a biopic, Neerja. How did the film materialise? What were the prep required for the role?
