He was a key part in making our festive season that little bit more magical last Christmas, thanks to his role in the eagerly awaited Gavin & Stacey special. And just like the rest of us, Larry Lamb, who plays silver fox Mick Shipman in the beloved BBC sitcom, is keen for more.
When OK! catches up with the 72-year-old – who is currently part of a celebrity campaign for Macmillan Cancer Support to highlight the importance of raising funds during the coronavirus pandemic – the conversation inevitably leads to the comedy juggernaut.
“I think it would be pretty cruel to leave us on that cliffhanger,” laughs Larry, referring to the moment Nessa [Ruth Jones] popped the question to Smithy [James Corden] before the screen faded to black.
Here, the charming chap gives us the latest on another reunion, before opening up on life in lockdown, losing loved ones and his lasting bond with Dame Barbara Windsor…
We have to start with the question on everyone’s lips... Will we get any more episodes of Gavin & Stacey?
