For once the little boy inside me took over as I stood there giggling like a lad out to play a prank on people. There was no one inside the beautifully designed BMW 730Ld M Sport that stood in the middle of a deserted road with a just a handful of curious onlookers. I was testing the Remote Controlled Parking feature of the car.
I stood close to the car and fiddled with the remote display key which lets you know different information about your 7-Series via a small LCD screen. As onlookers stared at me wondering what I was up to, I started the car through the remote and then lo and behold, it moved forward on its own as I walked along with it. The little key also allowed me to drive it in reverse. It was as though I was playing with a remote controlled toy car, the size of a 7 series. Onlookers could not believe their eyes. Not many realised that this feature is meant to get rid of your woes of parking into tight spaces.
Is this BMW 730Ld M Sport the holy grail of technology, I asked myself as I stepped into the Uber cabin of the car? As I took the driver’s seat the infotainment screen displayed the message “Welcome Joshua”. That was just the beginning. An arsenal of hi-tech features lay in wait to be discovered by me and I was as curious and excited as a little boy when he steps into a toy shop for the first time in his life.

BMW iX E-Car Achieves 5-Stars In Euro NCAP Test
The BMW iX premium electric car which has been launched in India, has achieved five-star ratings in all test categories of the Euro NCAP crash test. In the assessment of adult occupant protection, the testers highlighted among other features the effectiveness of the new interactive airbag between the driver and front passenger seats, which provides additional protection against injury in the event of a side collision. Child safety in the rear of the BMW iX was also given the highest possible score for both frontal and side collisions.
