Arriving in Margate, on South Africa’s South Coast, during the weekend of 2628 April, you were instantly reassured you were in for one helluva weekend.
Every inch of your view was filled with motorcycles, friendly faces and the natural beauty of our South Coast. The air was filled with the smell of delicious foods and the sound of engines revving up, this was definitely the place to be. Not even the tragic South Coast floods from earlier that week could stop one of SA’s largest Motorcycle Festivals from taking place.
Huge concerns arose from the floods that took place earlier that week, and it was common for people to wonder if the event would still manage to take place with all that has happened. Many roads were damaged and lives were lost. Credit needs to be given to the Organisers (Ugu South Coast) and everyone else involved for managing to bring us a fantastic weekend regardless of the obstacles faced. Festivities were in no short supply at the 3rd Annual South Coast Bike Fest, with a little something for everyone, from performances by fantastic restaurants, vibey cocktail lounges/bars & stalls in abundance.
