Mining Industry revival must for Make in India success

Minerals constitute the back-bone of economic growth of India as it has been generously endowed with minerals. As the supply of commodities is limited and the demand is too high this has resulted in maximum import. While India’s demand for mining commodities will increase rapidly, likely constrained growth of the mining sector will continue to increase the demand-supply gap.

The government has given priority to Agriculture and its allied industry and has allocated approximately Rs 2.83 lakh crore for agriculture and allied activities, irrigation and rural development. The government has envisioned setting up of agriculture warehouses, cold chain linkages, reefer van facilities, doubling the farmer’s income, introducing Kisan Rail and Krishi Udaan, increasing funds for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and one-product one-district scheme for better marketing and export of horticultural crops. With the world economy in slowdown and the medical fraternity in an all out war to eliminate Coronavirus, going Back to Basics seems to be the best bet presently for the country.  Union Budget is always a mixed bag of hits and misses. Some cheers it while other wants more.
