Every city, be it anywhere in the world, has certain streets and bylanes known for exuding a dramatic flair (Naatak Marg, literally meaning “dramatic street”), and Delhi is no different here, bearing a story of its own. Capturing the dramatic nuances from the streets of Delhi also known as the Naatak Marg, a stage set just right in itself, wherein the actors and the audiences are one - Viraj Anand, a New Delhi based visual artist brings these stories to life, by enlivening them through art. Playing with the universal language of urbanism, the stimulating interferences of light & shadow, scale & proportion, and adding a touch of a zing with a diverse palette to represent
the day-to-day happenings with immaculate detail, Viraj’s works speak for themselves.
Observing the drama on Delhi streets from the lenses of an outsider, self-motivated Viraj Anand goes experimentative with a range of media to include pen, ink, pastels, oil paints and linoleum prints.
