This issue of DESH is based on ‘Bangla Bhasha, Bangalir Asha’ topic. It is regarding the recent initiative taken by the Government of West Bengal to make Bengali as the compulsory language in school level education. 3 essays are published regarding this topic. The essays are written by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, Joy Goswami and Tilottama Majumdar.

There is a short essay on the stupendous success of the film ‘Baahubali 2’, written by Shankar.

The lead story of Mantabya section is based on the feature named ‘Birodhider Aikya’ (Reunion of the Opposition) written by Sumit Mitra. This feature is about the meeting of Sonia Gandhi and Mamata Bandyopadhyay at Sonia’s residence and the analysis of the meeting.

There is a poem written by Srijato named ‘Jalmatigram’.

There is a travelogue on a visit to Quebec, Canada named ‘Ek-Shahor Akritrim Museum’.

Column of Sumit Mitra & Novel ‘Final Gazi’ by Humayun Kabir is continuing as well.

Other regular sections like Nammatro, Grantholok, Shilpo Sanskriti, Chithipatro, Seshkatha are there as usual.
