His own tastemaker sensibility reinterprets traditional notions of “East-meets-West aesthetics” in a new hybrid to combine a seamless alignment of cultural
and design sensibilities, modern luxury and craftsmanship. He has a unique interior design style and he is good at integrating daily life details into Asian aesthetics, while having a rigorous pursuit of delicate space planning, so as to transform the space into a masterpiece with emotions, flexibility and interest.

We have also invited Frank Fu, a young entrepreneur, to talk about his visions on establishing international education in China, as well as the development of a medical career. In the field of design, we are honoured to talk to Juan Pablo Molyneux, the world-class interior designer, in person. He was born in Chile, raised and educated in France, and got his fame in the US. Juan is famous for his perfect integration of the tradition and fashion. He was in charge of the repair and renovation of the Pavilion of Treaties in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the public area of Palais Schottenring Vienna. The high-end residencies designed by him are all over the world. He will lead us for a tour of his design works in Paris and Doha, to give our reader a glamourous visual feast.

Echoing our art tour for the month, we have interviewed Mr. Simon Ma, a famous artist, to understand more about his cross-field art creations, and how he becames an inspiration for the young generation through the delivery of arts. Being an art enthusiast, Art Basel is the absolute opportunity for me to have cross-cultural experience exchange with various artists, gallery representatives and collectors all over the world.

February is a month filled with love. Love is a beautiful human emotion that includes a variety of forms: the love between family members, the love between friends, the love between a man and a woman. Although the object of one’s love may be different, the common thread is for one to wish one’s beloved all the happiness in the world. If such love can be extended to strangers and to those who need help, then the world will be a better place.

2月，是一個充滿著愛的月份，愛是人類一種美好的情感，它包括的範圍非常廣泛，有親情之愛、朋友之愛、異性之愛，雖然愛的對象不同，但有一個共同的特點，就是以純真的情感去祝福所愛的人。如果能將這種愛推廣至陌生人之間的愛，向有需要幫助的人伸出援手，世界將會變得更加美好。


We open the New Year with a cover story on legendary shoe designer Professor Jimmy Choo, OBE in the January 2016 issue of Precious. Professor Choo’s achievements in the fashion industry over the last few decades are well-documented, but his generosity in imparting his craft to his many students, and his selflessness in contributing to his country and society are just as noteworthy, and definitely an example for young people to model themselves after. We are very grateful to Professor Choo for sharing his story and wisdom with us in Precious.

In line with the ‘New Generation’ theme for the November issue of Precious, Carmen Choi Ma reveals her take on life as a modern woman, from her marriage and family to her career.
 
In Hong Kong today, young people can do more than pursue their dreams; they can also get involved in charitable causes. Heart Panda – the world’s first Giant Panda Public Art World Tour – stopped by Hong Kong. The Hong Kong stop of the tour, ‘Let’s Love’, featured over 60 artistic renditions of giant pandas in different poses. The exhibition demonstrated the incredible creative talent of new artists in China. Through the auction of these pandas, these young talented artists will become known to more people. Working on the development of one’s career at the same time as promoting love and kindness is exactly what our young people need to do. The activity attracts many people, especially children, and provides parents with a joyful family event with their lovely kids. The realistic and fun depictions of the universally loved animal melted many hearts.
