The life of a lifestyle journalist in Dubai is not easy. Don’t get me wrong;
attending many glamorous functions, and product launches is exhaust-
ing... not! I do love my job, especially when something really special turns
up for a test drive. When the keys to a brand new Rolls-Royce Phantom
Coupe had been handed over me, I couldn’t stop looking at its sheer size. I
nearly called the RTA asking for help for getting through the Dubai’s traf c.
However, to my astonishment, I gained a certain respect amongst usually
quite unfriendly drivers. Suddenly, my way was clear, and I even noticed a
few instances of giving way. Is it because of the size of this cruise ship, or simply the splendour of this vehicle that made a few drivers forget about road rage? I did not find the answer to this question, however, I truly enjoyed my few days with the Rollo.
Let’s put luxury and a monumental stance to one a side for a moment, and think back to our long term test car. The new Audi TT has been part of the Car & Style team for two weeks now and it keeps making us smile.
