For most women, those numbers are only borderline high, but it was terrifying news for Val, who was still recovering from her second pulmonary embolism.
With elevated cholesterol a risk factor for developing more blood clots and heart disease, Val, who was also struggling with her weight, feared she was on her way to a third embolism…or worse.
I have to find a solution, she vowed.
