Cosy ideas to achieve that warm and cocooning feel for the chilly season that lies ahead
1 CREATE A SCENT-TASTIC SPACE
Appeal to all the senses by introducing a seasonal home fragrance to ring the changes. From diffusers to reed sticks, candles and wax warmers, choose a solution that will gently disperse the aroma around the room, without overpowering it. Classic autumn fragrances to look out for include pumpkin, spice, cinnamon, maple and apple.
*Autumnal fragrances, from £1, Primark Home
2 INTRODUCE COMFY TEXTURES
Sofas, armchairs and benches can be cosied up with layers of blankets and cushions in warm autumnal colours. Look out for faux fur, velvet, chenille, bouclé and fleece to help you create the perfect snuggle space.
*Chevron faux fur throw, £40, knitted multi mohair cushion, £14, mohair check throw in plum, £20, printed fleece tree throw, £7, Lenon plush throw in lilac, £16, all Dunelm; other items, stylist's own
