Celebrated CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Turn your home into a festive winter wonderland
Celebrated CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Nothing beats a good old Christmas Down Under, and we've become pretty adept at putting our own twist on the merry season. That said, it's very different from the cosy winter celebrations many people in the world enjoy - and it can feel like we're missing out.

However, all that means is we get to have double the fun! Christmas in July is becoming more popular each year as we emulate the wintery traditions of our northern pals. It's traditionally celebrated on July 25 (although there isn't any hard and fast rule), so here's how to make yours sparkle!

KEEP IT SIMPLE

You could go all out with a full tree if you want, but the main goal of this celebration is to enjoy the fun parts of Christmas without the stress.

A tabletop tree can make a nice addition if you have one, but you could do something unconventional - there are creative DIY ideas online to get you started. Cheap decorations can be sourced on Amazon if you need them, while budget-friendly leaf and foil garlands are easy to find all year round.

SECRET SANTA

No one wants to go Christmas shopping twice a year, but you could suggest a Kris Kringle, where everyone draws names out of a hat and secretly buys a gift for that person.
