'Small changes are easier to stick to and therefore more likely to succeed,' explains life coach and author Joanne Mallon. 'Even a tiny pebble can create big ripples.'
Holistic health coach Ida Blake agrees that every action counts. 'It's the continuum of making small changes through action that shapes the final result,' she says. So if you want to take a big leap, why not start with some small steps? Here's how.
START YOUR DAY WITH SUCCESS
Mornings are when motivation and energy levels are highest, making new, positive habits easier to begin. Tweaking your morning routine will influence how the rest of the day unfolds.
DO IT Make your bed. Pausing to smooth out the covers in the morning is an easy way to start the day with a sense of positivity and accomplishment. 'Making your bed is a pointer towards greater things,' says Joanne, 'since it sets you up in a success mindset - a positive place from which to begin your day. You're proving that you can do this one small positive thing, and you will go on to do more throughout the day.
