Lorraine Kelly – 'I Start With a Buck's Fizz!”

The festive season is fast approaching and Lorraine Kelly couldn't be more ready to get into the Christmas spirit. Catching up with the ITV star is always a joy and here she lets Woman's Own in on her Yuletide traditions with her husband Steve and her grown-up daughter Rosie. And this year, the 62-year-old's plans include a boozy Christmas pud and a sparkly red dress from her latest Bonmarché collection...

Hi Lorraine. Christmas is coming! Are you excited?

Absolutely. I love it. It's my favourite time of the year. We don't have a real tree anymore because of the doggies - they play with it - but it looks like a tree. My prized possession is an angel my daughter Rosie made me for the top of the tree when she was in the nursery.

When do your decorations go up?

My birthday is on 30 November, so I always wait until after then - so usually it's on 1 December. We've got holly in our garden, so I like to use that and make real decorations too.

What does Christmas Day look like for you?

We have a real traditional Christmas. Steve does all the cooking, I do all the tidying up! Prawn cocktail to start, turkey and all the trimmings and then Christmas pudding. My mum loves Christmas pudding and I put so much brandy in it that it nearly burns itself to a crisp – but she likes it like that!

What will you be wearing over the festive season?
