TOTALLY NUTS!

When Paul Everitt, 39, from Grimsby, found a guest in his garden, he went all out to make them feel welcome!

Dumping a pile of weeds into the bin, I wiped my brow.

I'd not long moved into a new home, and fixing it up felt like a fulltime job.

Luckily, as a bit of a Jack of all trades, I could tackle most of it by myself-plumbing, tiling and plastering were no problem at all.

But the garden hadn't been maintained, eitherit had been left to go to ruins and it was growing wild.

It was harder work than I'd imagined.

As I got to work, pulling up all the weeds and trimming back the hedges, I noticed a scurrying out of the corner of my eye.

As I turned around, I came face to face with an inquisitive little squirrel.

over the next few weeks.

I started leaving nuts out for them, which they always gobbled up greedily.

When lockdown hit in March 2020, it became a distraction for me.

'Hello, there,' I chuckled.

 

But as I took a step forward, he scurried away.
