PLEASE SAVE MY BABY!
Pick Me Up !|August 18, 2022
A trip to the pub turned into a nightmare for Aaliyah Lunn, 24, from Stourbridge, West Midlands.

PLEASE SAVE MY BABY!

Cradling my baby bump, I squeezed past punters in the pub as I looked for my mates.

Spotting them, I called out and gave them a wave.

‘Hi,’ I said when I got to the table, giving my friend Lucy* a big hug. ‘Congratulations! I’m so happy for you.’

It was June last year, and Lucy had just announced her pregnancy – so we’d all come to our local, the Gigmill Pub, to celebrate.

My partner Tom* and I sat down with the group.

‘I can’t wait for them to be friends,’ I smiled at Lucy, stroking my own bump as my baby kicked happily.

He’d always been such a little wriggler.

I was 33 weeks pregnant, and looked ready to pop.

But other than being a bit uncomfortable in the end stages, my pregnancy had gone without a hitch.

Tom and I couldn’t wait to meet our little boy.

As we settled down at the table, grabbing menus for us and the kids, the footie started up on the telly.

It was a big game – England vs Scotland in the Euros – and the pub was rammed with fans.

Everyone was having a great time – the crowd was buzzing, and the atmosphere was completely electric as people laughed and chatted.

We had a great time, catching up over food as the match kicked off.

As we finished our tea and a waitress came to clear our plates, I suddenly spotted a bloke at the bar.

It was Jack Richardson. I didn’t know him personally, but I knew of him through friends of friends – and I knew he was bad news.

He was making nasty remarks, egging people on to go outside with him for a fight.
