THE MAYON

"We created you in pairs. Heaven and earth, night and day, sun and moon, shore and see, light and darkness, her for, him." Bride and Khush Wedding's in-house stylist Zahra's favourite verse from the Quran describes the couple's relationship at its best. When they first met, "I remember thinking to myself that I'd be the luckiest to have a man like him by my side." The festivities began with Mayon ceremony which was hosted in Islamabad by the bride's maternal uncle.

BOLLYWOOD NIGHT

The celebrations continued in the city of Lahore where the bride was raised. "We hosted a Bollywood night, which was easily my favourite event. It was a night full of my favourite Bollywood songs, dances and most importantly fashionable attire. We danced for six consecutive hours and didn't know how and where time flew." This grand evening party featured "a 'Khush Wedding' photobooth that became a major hit with everyone," a special addition the bride was very keen on having. The night was elevated with delicious and lavish food spreads.

QAWALI AND MEHNDI

"Qawali was our third event, hosted by my father for the groom's family and friends. Salik and I share a mutual love for music and poetry. So, it was an event which will always stay close to my heart. I cried throughout the event, because that's when I realized that it was one of my last nights at my own house" the bride shared with a heavy heart. The next day was dedicated to the mehndi event that continued the grand celebrations. "It was a night that flew by, full of joy, smiles and overwhelming happiness. We danced our hearts away, much SO that we, including myself the bride' forgot all about the mehndi itself."
