Four months ago, I reviewed the £399 Logi Dock (see issue 337. p64), which promised to both tidy desks and make video calls less painful by integrating a speaker and microphone into a docking station. I admired the ambition but not the wobbly audio picked up by the echo-canceling microphones, which is why that was the first thing I tested here. Microsoft has done a better job, with clear voice capture while dampening background sounds such as music, but you will lose some of the timbre from your voice.
